Major Moscow's Strikes Disrupt Power In Kyiv

Energy infrastructure under attack in Ukraine
Ukraine's power facilities have come under escalating strikes in recent weeks

Throughout the evening, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have led to electricity outages in extensive areas of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were wounded while residents in eastern neighborhoods were experienced blackouts and faced disruption to drinking water, according to municipal leaders.

At the same time, a young boy was killed in a separate aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, according to local officials.

Moscow has increased assaults on power infrastructure over the last fortnight, while officials has requested "concrete actions" from international partners to exert influence on Moscow.

"What is required is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the America, Europe and the G7 - in providing air defence systems and implementing penalties," was stated in a social media post.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty projectiles attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.

Government representatives said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were laboring to restore power.

A wave of strikes hit power facilities and apartment buildings in the capital.

Multiple people injured in the attacks on the capital have been transported for medical care, per statements from municipal representatives.

Area administrators said the metropolitan region endured heavy assaults overnight. A minor was killed and three other people were hurt.

The strikes come after evenings of air raids in the region, sections of which are currently controlled by invading troops.

The whole nation is in a state of readiness for advanced weapon attacks, which are harder to identify.

Government officials told journalists that Russia was deliberately attempting to destroy the national power system, with attacks already impacting fuel infrastructure.

He said technical personnel and authorities were preparing for further attacks.
